THIS IS YOUR CHANCE TO DRIVE CHANGE IN MONTANA’S FOOD SYSTEM

In 1950, 70% of Montanans’ food was grown here.

Today, it’s only 3%.

Importing 97% of our food is unsustainable and sends $5B in food dollars out of the state each year. The 33×33 for Montana Initiative aims to increase the percentage of local food purchased by Montanans from 3% to 33% by 2033, strengthening Montana’s supply chain, economy, and public health.

YOU can help shape the roadmap to achieve 33% by 2033.

Join a meeting near you to share your thoughts on:

  • In your community, what’s working well for producing, buying, or selling food in-state?

  • What successes could be replicated statewide?

  • What barriers limit your access to buying or selling Montana food in-state?

  • What ideas can strengthen our Montana supply chain?
